We made it to our ministry in Thailand, we arrived on the 29th and out ministry host are awesome! They took the time and showed us around the area to make us feel more at home. And since we are on our own for food they showed us the best places to eat.

Our last stop was this open market, it is basically long tents put together and everything you could think of crammed in there. It was very large. As we are walking, Benz our ministry host was showing us the food and explaining everything to us. We were walking in a line and I was towards the back just taking everything in and just trying to breathe because it was so hot in there. Then all of a sudden I see a huge hand coming towards my face.
SMACK!
My hat and sunglasses go flying, my face is stinging and I’m so confused! I look behind me to see who just gave me a five star to the face and all I see is a crowd of people acting like nothing ever happened. This tall guy was in the midst of it and the size of his hand matched his height. He had no emotion and made it seem like he did know what he just did. I felt super heavy in my spirit that something was off.
I kept it together after collecting my hat and glasses, Megan and Alyssa where shocked with me and after a few moments just kept walking.
Then, I accidentally run into this slightly crippled guy, he seemed sweet with a big smile and I apologized. We keep walking, my face still burning like crazy and I’m getting hotter and hotter. We walk a little and stop to see more food and this guy I ran into is now right behind us, continually ‘bumping into me,’ I’m starting to realize he isn’t as sweet as I thought he as. I walk faster but we keep stopping so he catches up to me. Then after a little bit he gets even more handsy, touches me very inappropriately and it pushes me over the edge. I start to have a panic attack and look at Megan with tears in my eyes to get me the hell out of that place. She doesn’t hesitate, grabbed my hand and we turn around to hurry out. It was a pretty far walk and seemed like there was no escape but praise the Lord for Megan for finding one. We step away from the crowd so that I could breathe.
I didn’t feel anger towards them but I forgave them anyway because I have seen what unforgiveness does to people and I wanted none of that on me! So as I was shaking in disbelief that all that happened in such a short amount of time with no warning what so ever, I kept talking to my Father forgiving those two men. Because they aren’t the ones attacking me, it was the enemy. Our fight is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms.
Satan literally slapped me in the face.
I was pretty shaken up the rest of the night but through lots of prayer was able to see that there is nothing to be afraid of because I am a child of the Lord Jesus Christ! I thought about not telling my parents because I didn’t want to worry them or think this is an unsafe place because it truly isn’t that dangerous of a place, but God told me I need my people. I need prayer warriors that can help me fight in this fight that is fought with prayer and love.
Because that’s how we fight back, it doesn’t sound like much but it is more than we could even imagine.
We fight with PRAYER AND LOVE.
So I will ask that you too will fight with me in prayer and in love. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. Praying for injustice of this world, for people you wouldn’t normally pray for, people you don’t see every day. You’re prayers are being heard and your love will be powerful!
