Hey everyone! It’s been almost three weeks since I left for Romania and Gods already done pretty awesome stuff in the community around us and given us some really cool opportunities.
The first week was all over the place since we’re just all getting used to sharing a living space with 30 other people, living off 20 Lei a day (which comes out to $5 USD), walking everywhere, buying clean water, eating bread everyday for every meal, depending on where you are paying to use a public bathroom, having a laundry day without a dryer, taking turns doing meals and dishes, sharing clothes, etc. When my squad and I first got here, it was explained to us our purpose in being here and different ways we can accomplish it.
Our goal for the 3 months that we’re in Romania is to build a church but not physically. The ministry host that we’re here helping, Raul, already has a theater that they’ve been renting out on Sunday’s so we’ll be building the community to bring people to the church. so because there’s so many of us (like 30 people all together), they’ve split us up into 4 teams. There’s two teams that will be going out to build the church for Raul through relationships they make here and the other two teams will be helping out other missionaries here working under Raul with whatever their goal is.
They’ve kept us very busy but it’s been so amazing being able to minister to the people here. On the first day we did something called a prayer walk in which my 5 team mates and I walked around this park where a surprising number of people spoke english, and just went up to people and got to know them and pray with them. This was more evangelistic and was super fun for me. God’s been good with ministry so far so I’m praying he’ll continue to be in the future!
Thanks again for all of your guys prayers and support!
