Hey all! My name is Danny Leach and I am 28 years old. My story is not of my own but rather a beautiful picture of Gods unconditional love and grace. Before I get into the thick of it all, I wanted to say that this is my first blogging experience. Even so, I am pretty sure this blog will turn out great. It’s just a great way to communicate what God is doing in and through me!

For those of you that do not know me, I grew up in a christian home as a missionary’s kid. At that time I did not realize the privilege of living in a different country and culture at such a young age. I was only 5 years old, living in Ecuador, when the Holy Spirit guided me to the truth of the gospel. Though young, my eyes were opened to the love of Christ and the weight of my sin. I recognized that it is only through Jesus Christ that I can be forgiven due to His atoning sacrifice through His death on the cross. I placed trust in Him and felt freedom knowing my sins died with Him.

Throughout high school, I missed the importance of an intimate and personal relationship with the Lord. I had no idea that I was commanded by God to walk in obedience according to His Word. As a result, I placed my trust in girls and as well as other things of this world instead of God. I made pleasure my idol.

Shortly after high school, I attended a one year Bible training program. Due to the relational nature of this program, I finally understood what it meant to have a personal relationship with God. I started to push away the idolatry that I had invited into my life away and pursue God wholeheartedly.

The last two years of my life have been the toughest, but most rewarding. During this time, I have been given the opportunity to relinquish control of my desires in order to let go and trust God. This has practically done wonders for me spiritually. It has allowed me to understand what sacrificial and selfless love look like. I have had the chance to model and be Christ intentionally for His glory. God is moving forward with His plan in my life. In all that Christ has done in me over the last couple of years, He has given me a passion and desire to continue to be intentional in serving and loving people that need to experience the unconditional love of God. This is the reason for why I have decided to serve with intentionality on the World Race.
