The spring semester of CGA is coming to a close.

One of the reasons I came to CGA (other than the Lord saying ‘go do the CGA program’) was to lead a trip.

For much of my life I had bought into the lie that said:

“You’re not qualified, there’s someone better than you for the job.”

Well, actually, in and of myself, I’m probably not qualified. That’s where God comes in. I don’t have to trust myself to lead, but I can rest assured that God has equipped me to do the things he calls me to do.

So a the other month I had to decide what I was going to do for the summer, and really felt that God wanted me to step out of what’s comfortable. So I put myself out there and filled out the Passport leader application. Passport is a program through Adventures in Missions for 18-22 year olds; the trips in the summer last for 2 months.

I was accepted to lead a trip a few weeks back, and the other week I found out I’ll be leading the Passport group to Honduras!

I’m so excited to go back to Honduras. I’ll be back at Tony’s ministry called Zion’s Gate, just outside of Tegucigalpa. It’s the same place our squad stayed at for month 2 of the World Race.

To offer willing individuals the unique opportunity to dynamically live and participate within a residential Christian community promoted and defined in the Holy Bible.

To provide temporary and permanent housing for all individuals desiring to explore, learn, grow and actively engage in their Christian faith freely.

To seek and invite the ‘outcasts’ of society to join us in a vibrant community of faith so their lives can be reclaimed; being future leaders demonstrating to the entire world Everything is possible through the power of God!

Here's a blog link for some of the faces from Zion's Gate.

From what I’ve seen and heard from Racers who came after us, so much has changed and I’m excited to be a part of it again.

I will be co-leading a team of 9 Passporters in Honduras from June 4-July 25 and look forward to see God move in me, through me, through the team, and the work to be done in Honduras.

God is so good, and my heart is expectant of things he has prepared ahead.
