Hey y'all!

Just chicken in with y'all.

(We had some for lunch today from the supermarket, quite fantastic and still on my mind)
Here's Renee shredding the chicken and Leanna cutting peppers.

Anyways, here's a re-cap of my leaving fiasco:

Thursday 10/6

11pm: “Hey, my bag really should be packed by now….”

11:30pm: “Ooooo! Ben from my squad is on Skype, surely that will make packing go faster!”

Friday 10/7

12:30am: “Ok… let's pack for real…”

1:30am: “I think I'm good?”

2am: “This really isn't that good, but I'll just wake up at 6am, and be done by 9am or so…”

6:15 – 8 am: BACKPACK EXPLOSION PANIC ATTACK

8:05 am: “Maybe I'll take my last shower before I smell for 11 months”

**** snore snore snore sleep crash ****

Arrive after some time and WE ARE RE-UNITED COMPLETELY!

This is probably the most exciting thing for me today. I've missed my squad.

Anyways, enough of the time stamped things. We settle into this hostel for a week. We are having some teaching in a few hours and have had some time today to wander around a little bit. After this week is done, we will split up as teams and head off to our designated ministry sites.

Ours is Rosa de Amor. (See previous post).

So, we're in Guatemala and it's only day one.

It's warm. It's beautiful. It's exciting.

I still can't believe we're all here and I'm still feeling a lot of emotions that are all trying to come out at the same time, and as a result, they're all kinda stuck and not a whole lot is coming out.

I'm excited. Shocked. Anticipating things to come. And some other things…

I really can't believe that I'm here and the World race has actually begun.

Stay tuned for more pictures, stories, and everything else to come…

Thanks again to everyone for sending me here!

I love you all!
