Five years ago, I came to the decision that I was going to spend my entire life in ministry. I wasn’t sure exactly where God was leading me, but I decided to go to Bible college, espite my uncertainty. Over the past five years, I have volunteered in the church in various capacities as I went through school, and I graduated with a ministry degree this past May. About a semester before graduation, I felt God pulling me to something crazy. Something that would stretch my faith in Him.
It was around this same time that I learned about an organization called Adventures in Missions, and the World Race. The moment I heard of this organization and the missions work they were doing on the World Race, I knew God was calling me to participate.
The World Race is a Christian Mission Trip, which goes to eleven different countries over the course of eleven months. On this trip in particular, my team and I will be ministering in El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In each country, we will be partnering with local churches and ministries to help meet the needs of the surrounding community by preaching the Gospel, planting churches, serving widows and orphans, helping victims of sex trafficking, and other amazing opportunities.
I’m taking a big step of faith, and I would love for you to join me! One way you cando that is through prayer. This trip will be very different from anything I’ve ever known, and there will be many challenges along the way.I would be extremely grateful if you would keep me and my team in prayer as we prepare to travel and encounter new cultures and ministry opportunities. There is nothing better than knowing that other people have your back and are covering you in prayer, especially when setting out on an endeavor like this one.
The second way you can get involved is financially. As is the case with most mission trips, participants in the World Race must raise financial support. Currently, the biggest challenge I am facing is fundraising. In order to leave fully funded on August 3rd, I need to raise $17,617. This amount will cover all of my living expenses for the duration of the eleven month trip. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me financially? Both monthly and one-time gifts would make a huge difference!
