I have a beautiful life! It all started with a loving family that adopted me at the age of 4. I grew up with my 2 adopted brothers, Kyle and Tyler, and 3 sisters, Desiree, Noel, and Cassie. I have other siblings but they were older and had moved out already. My mother and father met in an unfortunate manner – my mom hit my dad with her car (seriously a divine appointment lol). The love that my parents poured into me shaped a lot of who I am today. God gave my new parents a 4 year old rascal, but gave me a second chance to experience love. They spent grueling hours dealing with my temper tantrums and quickly put me into church programs. I grew up in the church, but didn’t really know the love of Christ until recently.
I lived at the base of the cascade mountain range in Klamath Falls Oregon. In high school I had a huge challenge with reading. Therefore, I could not focus or learn. By God’s grace, I passed with a 3.9 GPA my senior year (a lot of work went into doing the best I could). After high school, I prayed about moving to Washington State where my brother, Randy, owned an electrical outfit. I started a journey to become an electrician.
I left what I knew as home and moved to Washington. God placed me into a state of depression (I strongly believe it was God’s will). I struggled for 3 years crying out and being angry with God, but most of all angry with myself. God showed me what was lying dormant inside my heart and mind. Without experiencing that season I would not know what God had in store for me and the freedom that God has promised me!
Now, I’m beginning a whole new journey (TWR), but a journey that God has called me to. I cannot imagine what he will show me as we travel to eleven countries in eleven months.
