Ok here is a short story about an average man. I met a man today divine appointment he has read a bit of the word of God. He is fighting hard to make a living but has come to a place in his life where its a battle to stay out of the gang life. He knows God is good but has so much frustration with the world around him. He finds it harder to remain on the straight and narrow rather than fall away in defeat. He has 2 boys they are 10 and 11 years old. They are what keep him going daily. It was an appointment divine by the lord and in a time that could not be more perfect. I was sitting on a bench in a park overlooking a beautiful river. I was at this park to sit with the father in stillness and wait patiently on his voice. The beauty God has given us is the ears to hear others and not be quick to judge but to patiently listen to the heart of the people HE sets before us. This man has had a lot of hard life and wrestles with anger in his daily life. It was not by mistake that it was me that talked with him and blessed him today. It’s a simple thing to listen to people even when they seem gangster or even when it’s hard to gather what they are talking about. The Lord showed me something through the honesty this man showed me today. I have been set apart to take action even in the simple ways even in my quiet times even when it seems to be a sketchy situation. God sets before us a path daily and it’s our choice to keep our eyes and hearts open to catch who the Father is setting before us. It’s not a little thing when we look at the situation in 10 years. It can have such huge kingdom impact if we make a choice daily to seek out the path God is calling us to. The man allowed me to pray for him and humbly opened his heart to me. I was able to take him to a close by store to avoid some other people that were gang members. He asked that I help him not to stumble and get in a fight. God used me in a simple way to help another brother find a little peace of mind and heart today. You see if we are searching we will find if we are knocking on the door it just may be opened. God has shown me today through this man that even in our daily life there is so much kingdom work that does not take much effort. It takes but a yes to the Kingdom of God daily and we start to find exactly where we are needed. We start to find the places and people God has set before us. It’s a blessing to be a blessing, why not share your testimony why not take a min or 2 hours to sit with a stranger and create a space of vulnerability. I share this today because there is so much need to live a life of truth and vulnerability with others regardless of our busy life schedule. God is so good and it’s so good to share it with others. I know it has changed my day and it sure has helped my heart to see a deeper need here in WA. An active life is worth living but we must be prepared at any time any where to share the goodness of God. It’s a truth others really need to hear in our daily life. I know its only one man but if each of us can sit with one stranger each day one day we may just find that God’s work has been done in a way totally unexpected. (Daily focus: One person, One day)
