What full time field ministry looks like?

  1. The day to day is always filled with ministry of all kind’s, door to door ministry, collage ministry, school ministry, manual labor ministry, 1 on 1 ministry, crowds of people ministry and they all have one common outcome! Jesus shows up through the holy spirit. This lifestyle has a ton of different day to day and month to month ministry focuses. You will certainly find yourself living for God daily and not having separation between life and ministry, Afterall they are both one in the same! God will certainly use an open heart and a willing spirit. The day to day looks different God always looks the same the people change the place changes but Father God, Jesus Christ and the Holy spirit remain the same. I find this truth about embarking on a long-term mission trip More will be changed in you, than you see in others!

(1 Corinthians 1:18)

The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

  1. This life requires sacrifice. The days on the mission field are hard and long. There will be days of rest for 4 hours and days where you barely get sleep. We choose to sacrifice our lavishing accommodations and live with the local people in the natural living conditions they live in. Most of our stays have been in rural areas the jungle in Peru, el alto in Bolivia, outside Mendoza Argentina and now village living in India. The sacrifice of comfortability will push an open and willing heart to rely only on God for it is not an easy test to lose all comforts. This test of leaving all you have and coming with a backpack to serve the kingdom of God sounds a little crazy! When you read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John in the bible they talk about how the disciples became disciples and you find that Jesus asked them to leave all they have behind and to follow him. You see! sacrifice is the way to truly find a deeper relationship with Jesus!

(Philippians 4:5)

You should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

  1. Our daily choices. We get a choice every day we wake up to serve people or to be served by people. Our choice daily has a lot to do with our entire life and how God chooses to use us. We read in the parable of talents, if you are faithful with little then you will receive much more. God challenges us with the choice to daily pursue servanthood, or to claim reign over one another. I see God gives us choices as a test of our faith and that shows the direction we are wanting to go in life. If we measure our choices in life upon the value of the world, we will never find equality. When we choose into the world our true purpose of freedom gets blurry and out of focus. I find myself choosing daily into serving people and sharing the kingdom of God where ever I go. I know in the parable it shows a great example of one man barring his talent as the others multiplied their talents. I constantly want to take what the lord has given me and share it with others in obedience to why I was originally given it! (Not bury it and keep it to myself).

             (John 10:18)

No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my father has commanded.

  1. The spiritual walk that living for God daily brings you into is almost surreal. Your life starts to change when God gifts you the lens to see in the spirit. We live in a world filled with spiritual warfare. We choose daily to not step into the spirit. When you live for God and seek daily you find that the spiritual realm is just as important as the physical. When you step into a spirit lead life, at first it seems very weird and then you start to learn and lean into what God has for you. The most important thing to remember in spirit is that you cannot show someone what you have seen. You can talk about it you can try and explain but you will find it very hard to show someone who doesn’t believe in it. God uses our spiritual lens of life to direct us and lead us on journeys that have more impact than we will ever physically see. The spirit leads us daily on journeys to bless others, to pursue a deeper relationship with God, to find inter healing, to test our faith and to show us where the path we should be on is. Our spiritual growth is only significant if we boldly step into it with faith in Jesus fully trusting in the spirit!

(Romans 8:11)

The spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by the same spirit living in within you.

It takes intentional pursuit to live a life

of overflowing joy.
