Who am I? What’s my value?
What’s my purpose?
What’s my destiny when I die / finish?
Nick Vujicic (check Him out on the YouTube) – A guy without arms or legs, but living a dope life, says that if you don’t have the answers to these questions you are more crippled than he. No worries if you don’t because you can let the Lord help you answer those questions!
I had the opportunity to present these questions to multiple classrooms full of students today with my team. I also got to present two essential truths that tie in with these questions. The plan of our real enemy, and the plan of our real and awesome God.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
John 10:10 ESV
We have a real enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone whom he may devour. He is not THE lion but he tries to look like one. See his only tool is deceit. He plants lies in our heads and when we agree with those lies they set up shop in our lives, and grow into habits, detrimental behaviors —it’s sin, and we all have at some point chosen to take part in the enemy’s plan in some way or in some part of our lives but we must see that the enemy’s big picture is to steal, kill and destroy us and everything good in our lives. It’s no good. It’s death. Jesus came that we may have life, abundant, good life. Everyday life is a gift and a choice we opt into. If we agree with God that life is good, that life is more than eating, sleeping and breathing —we go on living and by Jesus’ blood eternally! But it’s a form of death to live life without realizing that there is a purpose and a plan to all of it. Be thankful for the good things in life they are from God —but realize who the source is. The “thing” that makes you happy, that brings life is a gift from someone. Let’s not be people who stop short and are happy with the gift but aren’t grateful to the one who gave us the gift in the first place.

Fullness of Joy is found in the source of Joy. The enemy’s goal is simply to keep us from the fullness of all that God is and can be for our life. To keep us from abundance. If the enemy succeeded, we would have our joy be empty, our peace disturbed, and our life without meaning. Alive but dead in sin. Wandering, wishing and hoping with no satisfaction because we don’t realize what we have a right to as God’s children purchased from death into life by the blood of Jesus. Man, Jesus had an abundant life. Because he IS life. He is light and in him is no darkness at all. His love can’t be contained and it spills over into us. We are vessels, we are clay jars, we carry the abundance of God. His love is washing over you. He cannot be contained. Like a fire that consumes a forest. Our God is a consuming fire. Sin and death can’t stand in His wake. Yet, what is of God will stand. His Kingdom can’t be shaken! So we are like those who walk through fire yet aren’t burned. Our God stands in the fire with us. He is the fire inside us that burns and yearns for a full abundance of love and things that last for what’s eternal. Put away drunkenness, put away rage, put away sexual sin, put away selfish ambition, put away striving, put away laziness, put away, put away, put away —better yet, let it be consumed by the fire of Love inside you. Let your cup run over with His love. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Nothing compares. Nothing measures up. His presence, seek and you’ll find. Amen.
— the next day, more thoughts —
The Lord isn’t done with revelations concerning this verse John 10:10.
It’s the memory verse for our squad this month. Crazy! We did a journey marker and a DBS (a bi-weekly spirit led Bible study we do within our teams on the race) last night. This is what the verse means to me:
The enemy wants my life to be useless, he doesn’t want me to see all the blessings God’s given to me already. He wants what is mine. Jesus gives me life, purpose, dreams, love, peace, joy. That’s why Jesus came, so I could be given my full inheritance despite the plan of the enemy.
What’s it mean to you?
Man God is sooooo good. Love y’all.
