You are standing in a valley.

The valley is dark. The land is black. Like black ice. The sky is black. The clouds are thick with despair. There are cliffs surrounding you with jagged edges. It’s dark. Cold. Scarce. Nothing can live here. There is a lake of thick black tar. Like the valley of the shadow of death.
You scream.
You scream louder.

JESUS

You keep screaming.

Desperate. Desperate for Him. Desperate for breathe. Desperate for hope.

Your voice echoes through the emptiness of the land.
A light shines on you From above. It is dim at first but continues to grow.
You see light in the distance. You run.

Don’t look back. Keep running.
They’re chasing you.The demons of your past. The demons of regret and shame. The demons you have allowed into your life. They know where you’re going. They yell to you. They grab and bite at your heels. Their eyes blood red with fury.

Run faster.
Don’t look back.
You keep screaming. You pass the lake.
The light ahead becomes brighter.

The light lands on color. Green grass awaits you. Flowers. Breeze. Trees. Saturated with sunlight.

The demons howl and scream.
You scream louder.
You run harder.

One last attempt to catch you. One last attempt to escape. You jump. You reach out for the light. You fall upon the grass. The soft grass cushions your fall. The demons stop. They cannot follow. You are safe.

Relief floods you. You. Are. Safe.

He was with you the whole time. Protecting you with His light. The little light that you let in. It was enough. What you had was enough to get you to safety.

You look back at the valley. It’s close but distant. Like a vivid nightmare. But it is over now.

You will never return there again. You are safe in the meadow. Go. Explore. He awaits your company.

…….

I debated if I should even give context to this post or just let each reader interpret it however God would like them to. This is all I will say about it, Friday, March 2, we went to church and were praying for God to reveal Himself to us and speak to us. He gave me this vision. It was vivid and raw. For me, it was a vision representing the freedom He wants me to fight for and walk in. I pray that the Lord speaks to your heart through it.
