I made it to Myanmar, and to be honest the journey getting to the ministry site, was hard. In order to cross the boarder and get on the next bus my squad and I had to walk at least a mile with our big packs, day packs, and anything else we brought with us. I realize now that I definitely should have drank more water before walking that mile in the heat, I got dehydrated fast, every step I took was a miracle, but I made it. I started drinking more water and now I’m fine. The village I live in is small and I mean small small. I don’t even know the name of it. There is one restaurant we can walk to in 15 minutes. That’s about it besides a tiny shop we can take a 10 minute walk to, it has ice cold coke. Thanks God. Our ministry this month is to teach English at a bible college Monday through Friday and attend two bible studies on Sunday. We also have to give a short bible story or testimony every morning and every night. On Friday morning I gave a short story on how we should be bold for the Lord like how Daniel and his friends were standing up to the chief officials and the king when they wanted Daniel and his friends to eat food that is unlawful and to worship a gold idol. Every-time they were bold and said they would not go against the Lord, we should do the same. We need to choose each day when we wake up to be bold for what the Lord has for us. I had to be brave when coming on the race, to leave my home and everything that was comfortable to go and do ministry like teaching but at the end of it, me saying yes to God has brought out a new kind of boldness in me. So,!trust me whenever the Lord calls you to something or to stand up to someone, be bold. Say yes.
