On November 20th we threw a women’s event for the women of llano to come together and we can poor into them and the women can spend more time together. We went around going door to door handing out invitations for them to come to the event and we had transportation for them to come to the base where we threw the event. We had child care available so they were able to come. We invited 30 women to come and around 30-50 women came, they invited their friends which was a huge blessing. We set tables up with names of who God says they are and we made an arrangement of flowers for each table. When the event started I went around greeting each women with the traditional kiss on the cheek and than we did two worship songs with the ladies in Spanish, I went outside to help with the child care and as I was playing with the kids two of my teammates gave their testimony, they showed a Jesus film, the women got to just draw what their dreams are, and they got to know each other better talking at the tables. A few of my teammates shared why we wanted to throw the event for them, that we want them know the Father heart for them and help them build community with one another. For the last part of the event I came in and four of us wash the feet of the women. In John 13:1-17 is where we see the example Jesus set in washing one another feet. At the end of the day they left with a smile, a full heart, and deeper community with one another.
