I am leaving Guatemala and heading to Thailand. Guatemala has been a hard a times but it has been a blessing. My team and I got to walk to llano our ministry site everyday, we got to see healing with a boy who had a blood disease who was bedridden and now he runs around having fun like a kid. Thanks God. A wall that had nothing on it now has a mural showing love of the beauty country they live in and love in the friendship that was deepened through it with the people who helped and the kids who was a part of the art itself. We saw women who wouldn’t talk to each other to women making lunch with one another. We saw community with different families helping move Cement Blocks from one part of the village to the other side. We were using cars, wheelbarrows, and carrying them. A community coming together to help one another that has been our vision from day one. Our English students have grown in speaking English and stepping out of their comfort zone. They are what makes leaving Guatemala hard. I have loved English class and soccer games with my kids, as we were saying our goodbyes my kids said I love you in English and wow did the waterworks start flowing. One of the moms of the village gave a speech thanking us for everything we have done for them and their children and that we are always welcome back because we are family. The waterworks kept coming. Goodbyes are not easy and they will never be but we have a God who comforts us in those hard times. How bless are we that goodbyes are hard because it shows that we were blessed from what God has given to us deep relationship with people. Onward we go to Thailand to love on the people there and I can’t wait to see how God is going to move there. Come Fly With Me by keeping all of us in your prayers as we leave with a heart full of love and sadness and keep us in your prayers for the culture change from Central America to Asia. See you there.
