Hi everyone. I just want to tell you a few things about who I am, what I like to do, and most importantly why I have been called into the World Race Gap Year.
My name is Danielle Morris. I am eighteen years old, but will be turning nineteen this month! I was born in California, but when I was five months old my dad moved us to Kentucky to start a church and we have lived here ever since. I have two loving parents, a wonderful brother who is seven years older than me, and a beautiful sister who is three years older than me who just got married in September. Some of the things I love to do in my downtime is to read, spend time with my friends, going to the movies, going ice skating, and going to a weekly bible study. Another interest of mine is Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. I started packing the shoe boxes with my family when I was eight and by age thirteen I became the shoe box project leader to make sure we have enough items to meet the goal we set. I am now a year-round volunteer with Operation Christmas Child as a member of the Prayer Team. I felt lead to go on a missionary trip since a young age, having the urge to help the ones in need, to go and tell them about our all loving God. When I first heard of World Race Gap Year, I felt the calling to go on the nine month mission trip. It will be a whole new experience and a blessing to go and help anyway I can. There will no doubt be difficulties along the way, but God’s loving hand will be there to guide the way through them all. Please keep me in prayer and may the Lord bless you.
