Hey there family and friends!
Please forgive me for not getting the chance to send out a blog before now! It has been a very busy month for us here in Da Nang, Vietnam. Typically I would have a profound thing to say and write about what I have learned for the month, but unfortunately my brain said, “not today Danielle!” so you guys are stuck with some simple pictures and a brief description of the things that we did this month.
We started this month by traveling on a sleeper bus to get from the bottom of Vietnam to the middle of Vietnam. That in itself was an interesting trip! Once we got here we began to work with an organization called Orphan Voice where we did a multitude of things throughout our 3 weeks of serving. Vietnam is a closed country so please know that I am being careful in the things that I say and the words that I use during this blog. While here we have to say that we are volunteers and we are just serving through that capacity. We can’t use any words that would make them think we are coming here to pr3ach to the people of Vietnam. With that being said… Here are the ways we volunteered this month.
Working in a church for international passport holders and their families.
Celebrating the birthdays of some kids at a state orphanage.
Painting walls and murals for a group home.
Piling a group of 20+ kiddos from the group home in a van and taking them to a theme park for the first time ever.
Meeting up with a group of college students to play beach volleyball, have dinner and go sing some karaoke!
Taking a young married couple out to dinner.
And sometimes we had some down time to see what all Vietnam had to offer to us. So we explored. We did some day time exploration and some night time exploration. We laughed, loved and had a blast getting to spend time together.
I know that this month looks like we just had fun, but each area we served in had a need. They had a yearning for love and acceptance and we were honored to have a chance to help bring a little joy to their lives. We had the chance to serve our Father’s children while being in a beautiful city for the month, but there was a moment that none of us will ever forget because we had the chance to stand by and serve one of our own. Sarah, one of our team members, decided once and for all to give all control that she was keeping over her life to the Father. In this public declaration she decided to be baptized while we were still by the ocean. It was a special moment for us all and will forever be a sweet memory we hold for our World Race adventure!

To all those who are supporting me… Thank you! Without you this trip and answer to G0d’s calling wouldn’t be possible.
With all my love,
Danielle Mills
