Lets just get straight to the point here.
FUNDRAISING.
Its been 7 months since applying for the WR and I thought I had all the time in the world. Those 7 months have flown by in what seems to be 2 or 3, and now the first of four deadlines is quickly approaching.
Its easy to talk about the amazing places I will visit, the beautiful, yet broken, people I will meet, the CRAZINESS of fitting my life for 11 months into a single back pack(still freaks me out). But the hard part is asking for money. Every day, every hour, every waking moment, the daunting $17,617 is the first and last thing on my mind. I’d be lying if I told you it doesn’t intimidate me more than anything else ever has. It feels a bit shameful. It feels like I’m placing a burden on you. It is flat out scary.
BUT,
that is not how Jesus wants us to view it. In the last few days, he has sweetly reminded me that I am not asking for money to finance a lavish vacation, but a year of service to others. Fundraising is giving my friends an opportunity to invest in further growing the Kingdom. The opportunity to invest in the calling that the Lord has placed on my life. The opportunity to invest in the seeds that will be sown in the lives of those who have not yet met our savior.
I have come to the realization that no amount of money is bigger than God. $17,617 is just a drop in the ocean compared to how big he is, and how big he moves.
I’ve taken a leap of faith.
I’ve cast out into the deep.
I’ve latched on to His promises.
I must trust that He will meet me in the midst, and believe the He has already prepared the way.
“Instead, be concerned above everything else, with the Kingdom of God and with what He requires of you, and He will provide you with all these other things.” Matthew 6:33
HOW CAN YOU HELP ME?
Pray for me. Pray for my squad. Pray for the countries we are going to, the hearts we will touch. Pray for our ministry and our safety.
Financially.
Below are the financial deadlines that I must hit in order to go on this trip. The fact of the matter is, I cannot go without the financial support from you, my friends and family. Ideally, in order for me to reach my goals, I am in need of monthly supporters of $50-$100(or any amount) , but one time donations OF ANY AMOUNT are equally appreciated and valued as well!
