Heyoo big surprise today… a blog all about Dan by me Selina! This week we decided to change things up for blogging and in our team we each wrote a blog about someone else to post for them. And I got the privilege to write about my gal Dan Yay!!!

Dan, dan, dan… what a lady! First of all, she is just the best. I can always count on Dan to dance with me at all times, as if we are starring in our own music video. There’s never a time you won’t find us rocking out to our fav older jams (mostly our boy Frank Sinatra or Mamma Mia ). If Dan isn’t dancing around (with her eyes closed) she’s probably at the beach, acting like a kid in a candy store, or thinking about the beach. And even though she hates country and restricts me from enjoying my Christmas music in September, and is constantly quoting vines I’ve never seen, I still love her oodles. She’s my seesaw pal, has undeniably the best laugh I have ever heard, and has a real knack for guess that song opera edition.

Since being on the race, I’ve seen Dan fight every instinct she has in order to be intentional and pursue vulnerability in our team. I’ve watched her realize the impact she can have through utilizing the skills and talents she has, and just seeing her really come alive through doing so. Yes Dan is obviously good at art like duhhhh SCAD! But it’s so much more than that, it’s her passion behind it all and that everything she creates has purpose. It’s the most inspiring thing to see someone know their gifts and steward them so well with the most humble and kind spirit. Even when ministry looks like designing and painting a mural as a team Dan doesn’t make any of us feel less than or that we lack, but rather encourages us to go for it and put our own creative touches in.

Another thing that has been so cool to watch is the way Dan knows the Lords voice and is able to learn so much through listening to Him. There have been so many times where she shares with us what he’s been teaching her and revealing to her and it has been so awesome and encouraging to get to experience. And I’m sure you are all excited to also get to witness this even throughout the blogs she has written!

Dan is an incredible friend with a heart of pure GOLD and I’m lucky to have her on my team and in my life. Love you tiny squish.
