With team changes comes new team names…. It is funny as a squad our names were very similar and all stemmed from the same place. Going deep! Diving head first! As we talked amongst the teams I realized it has nothing to do with us but everything to do with God. Although he has provided each of us with different experiences thus far, he has brought us to the same place as we enter this new season so we can be UNIFIED.
Relentless is defined as unceasing and intense. It can be a good word for describing something harsh, unforgiving, and persistent like the hot desert sun. When someone is relentless they mean business. If you are relentless you will not stop until you get what you want and you will not take no as an answer. People might try to steer you from your goal, but you have your eyes only for the prize. God’s love for us is RELENTLESS. His love is far from harsh but it is intense and unceasing. His love and His faithfulness are constant!
This is a season of not only going deep but a season of being relentless for the prize, God! True faith means holding nothing back, it means putting every hope in God’s fidelity to His promises (Francis Chan). True Faith bets everything on the hope of eternity. When times get hard, we are not going to stop or pull back. We are going to give more! We cannot grow closer to God by simply just living life, we have to pursue him. This is a season of being relentless and fighting to make the most of every single moment the Lord has blessed us with. This is a season of choosing yes, even when it is easier to say no. It is a season of getting uncomfortable. It is a season of turning the world upside down for Jesus! It is a season of change! Our purpose in life is to glorify the Lord!
