Our final month of this crazy, life-altering journey was spent in Nepal. Our awesome contact, Deepak, wanted us to be able to experience as much as Nepal as possible. (This is kind of lengthy but I’d encourage you to read on…. God performs miracles!)

The first 5 days were spent in the capital, Kathmandu. We visited a Leprosy Colony, prayer walked around the city and many temples. We were able to visit the Slums. It was as if I was living in a commercial to raise money to help those in need. Nepal is one of the poorest countries of the world and the slums are filled with hundreds of thousands of the most impoverished populations. My heart broke but the Lord brought me joy as we played, sang, and danced with the children.

The majority of our time was spent in the countryside of Chitwan. We did morning and evening home visits and shared our stories, messages, worshiped, and prayed together. This ministry was so incredibly special. The Nepalese people always welcomed us in their homes with open arms. Their faith and vulnerability is truly beautiful! God’s presence was overwhelming!

One evening we walked nearly an hour to a small hut to meet with a woman named Ronu. She revealed to us that the Lord appeared to her in a dream and told her that she was going to receive the gift of healing through massage therapy. God has healed her husband as well as several members of the church through her massages. Ronu asked if any of us needed healing. My team all looked at me and said my name out loud, knowing that I have had chronic back pain for four years. After the fellowship she went to work on my back. She said I would need to come two more times. Kristy came with me for my second visit. It was incredible, Ronu doesn’t speak any English and I clearly don’t speak Nepalese but while she was working on my back we understood each other perfectly! At first it was just the three of us in the small mud home but then the most beautiful thing happened… I glanced up because I heard several voices. I saw a group of women from around the village all praying with their whole hearts for my healing. I wasn’t able to go to the third massage due to time however I have less pain than I have experienced in four years. Hallelujah!

We had the opportunity of being on the prayer team at a Healing Conference where over 30,000 people attended each of the four days. We saw thousands come to Christ, hundreds healed, and many delivered from demonic spirits. Every life was changed. For the first time in my life I saw manifestation. We prayed for hundreds of people taken over by demons. They thrashed and screamed, their eyes rolled back in their head. Jesus set them free and gave them their lives back.

Jesus healed 3 paralyzed men and allowed them to walk!

He healed a deaf man and opened his ears so he could hear!

An elder man who stood hunched over in the corner of the prayer tent caught my attention. I knew I needed to pray for him. He couldn’t move his shoulder nor could he stand up straight due to back problems. Again we didn’t speak the same language but were able to understand one another. After a few minutes of praying he was moving his shoulder in circles. He reached my hands and placed them on his back. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen but his great faith strengthened my faith. I continued praying. Before I knew it he stood up completely straight and began shouting HALLELUJAH, AMEN! Together we jumped up and down and praised the Lord, for He is healer!

Countless miracles took place during the Healing Conference and throughout our time spent in Nepal. These healings took place not because of the speaker or the missionaries but because of FAITH in our restoring God!

To end our month we went to Pokhara, Nepal to do High Adventure Ministries. We trekked and camped for two days and one night. We were able to talk with natives who lived on the mountain. I met a man named Chrisman, who was Atheist but very curious about Christianity. He asked about physical healing and asked me to share why I believe in Jesus. God prompted me to share about my emotional and spiritual healing. As I shared my story with him not only did he look shocked but I didn’t recognize the person I was talking about. God has changed my heart and made me new!

What an incredible ending to a magnificent journey!

I know this blog won’t come easy to believe for many, I probably wouldn’t have believed it a year ago either but they are true. So I am asking you to have faith and believe in our healing Father.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
