The funny thing about routine on the World Race, is that there isn't one. Well at least not a long-term routine. Everything changes from month to month. Just as you get used to your surroundings, it's time to pack up and start all over again in another country.

Even though we all knew this would be our life this year, it still takes some adjusting. Like changing what time you usually wake up, or when/how you have shower time. We have to adapt to the host family's lifestyles now, which in most cases, isn't anything close to our pre-World Race lifestyles.

Our routine this month in Costa Rica looked a little something like this:

6am Wake up

7am Breakfast

8am Head out to the mountain to begin work- ranges from using machetes or nowadays, shoveling

1pm Lunch and siesta

2pm Head back out to mountain

4:30pm Coffee break and free time

6:30pm Dinner

8pm Feedback time

9pm Bedtime! (Yes we go to bed before 10pm now, our days are pretty exhausting)

On some occasions we would go into town to the internet cafe. For this to happen we must walk 5km to the bus stop, and then take a 20 min ride into town. Since this is no easy feat, it's only happened a handful of times this month.

Our time in Costa Rica is officially over! We head for Nicaragua today where we will have a completely different schedule to adjust to. One month down, ten to go!
