These are our last few days in Guatemala. Already! I can't help thinking back and wondering what we accomplished.
My team has done a lot of painting buildings, (orphanage and church) while I slipped away some days for an architectural project.
We didn't see any miracles or healings, anyone come to Christ, in fact we didn't even talk to anyone who didn't already know Christ. So how is that expanding the kingdom?
Well I don't know. But I know that to the people we served, it was more than just painting. And besides that, we did a lot more.
- We made meaningful connections.
- We worshipped one God with people from different backgrounds.
- We spoke truth to people who may have needed a reminder.
- We prayed over people who may have needed the encouragement.
- We proclaimed truth and God's love over the city.
- And we fell in love with the people of Guatemala.
This city might look pretty much the same now as when we came, but without a doubt the people aren't.
On Tuesday we leave for Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where we'll be tenting at a ministry site for the street kids of Tegucigalpa. Please pray for our team to be continually stretched as God desires.
Thank you for all your prayers and support, they have been felt and answered!
