First a shout-out to my supporters, who truly are some amazing people. I feel very blessed and supported, and have loved connecting with each and every one of you over the past while.

It’s my pleasure to announce that with your help (ie: God’s help) the money needed for training camp, $3,500, is in my fundraising account! In other words, my first checkpoint has been reached! I have no doubt that as God helped me reach this fundraising checkpoint, He will help me the rest of the way. Only $12K to go! 😉

Another group of people worth mentioning are the Olivet youth group. How lucky am I to be a part of something so special! Incredible young people, epic Friday nights*, and great times of fellowship and deepening of faith.

It is such a privilege to get to know the middle school girls, and talk about Jesus with them on Sundays and Fridays. Seeing how they grow and change over the years is immensely satisfying. The highschoolers as well – who were once my middleschoolers – are such a joy, and a great display of the growth that is taking place. They make make me so proud!

While it’s an honour to be a part of the faith journies of many, I often think it’s something I need more than ‘it’ needs me. Being a leader at youth group has really helped me stay grounded in my faith, especially through hard seasons. Between the support of the leadership team and the desire to be a role model worthy of the youth to whom I minister, I have excellent motivation for a life worth living. Thanks, everyone!

As life takes me away from so many amazing people, I can only trust it will be for the expanding of God’s kingdom. Leaving will not be easy, you will all be greatly missed!

*One of these epic youth nights happened last week, where our night of innocent fun resulted in 2 visits from the police, and one from 2 teams of fire fighters. New record!
