Truth be told, you probably have a better idea than me of what these countries are really like. But none the less, it’s time to share some of my preconceived (most likely ill-advisedly-so) notions about the nations I will visit.

July 2013 Honduras
I picture it to be quite beautiful in Honduras… the people and landscape.

Aug 2013 Nicaragua
I imagine much danger to tourists in Nicaragua… then again that’s based on a Nicaraguan’s advice.

Sept 2013 Costa Rica
Swarming with tourists. To me this place seems like a Spanish-speaking Hawaii.

Oct 2013 Philippines
Happy happy happy. Jovial people all day long. I’m pretty excited for that, hopefully that’s true.

Nov 2013 Thailand
Prostitution everywhere, that’s pretty much all I hear about Thailand.

Dec 2013 Cambodia
A lot like Thailand. But with a lot more missionaries.

Jan 2014 India
I see it being just like it was in Slumdog Millionaire. That is, crowded, smelly, and poor.

Feb 2014 Nepal
Beautiful and mountainous. Also really cold… With no people. Hah, who knows what a Nepalese person looks like, anyway?

Mar 2014 Kenya
Dangerous for missionaries. But worth it for those adorable little kids who want to play soccer all day long.

Apr 2014 Uganda
Same as Kenya?

May 2014 Rwanda
Full of history, sad history. I just keep thinking of the movie Hotel Rwanda.

TRAINING CAMP BONUS ROUND!
May 2013 Georgia, USA
Cold on the mountain, hot everywhere else, with enough southern accents to bring back Dixie Carter.

So now it’s on you. Help send me to all of these places, because I clearly need better education on what they’re really like.
Right now I’m sitting at $2728 in my fundraising account, $772 short of my $3500 deadline on May 1st. Without that $772, I can’t go to training camp! Without training camp, I can’t go on the World Race!
