Yesterday was filled with more stress and anxiety than I am used to. It felt great tackling my to-do list like there were only three things on it, and let’s be honest… there are more than 30! Check, check, check and taking names! Then something strange happened, feelings of stress and anxiety crept in. Overwhelming feelings of fear and doubt. I shouldn’t go on the Race, I will never get all this done, I don’t deserve to go, will I let people down?
Well this is strange I thought… where is all this coming from? My immediate reaction was: “I need to do my devos, NOW!” Reading Ezekiel and the restoration of Israel helped calm my nerves, but God didn’t stop there. I was able to refocus my energy on getting things done, now a bit more peaceful in my spirit. Later on I read a blog from the administration of the World Race that encouraged us racers and reminded us of the truth. The truth about who we are and who’s we are. If you missed my facebook share I mentioned there being some rock hard truths that we are ALL called to live up to. Here are those scriptures.
We need this reminder on our hard days and the good days. He is RIGHT THERE with us through it all. Being caught up in doubt and lies about me going on the World Race was overwhelming and quite honestly frightening, but God showed up and peace replaced those feelings. I hope you find these scriptures in your moments of doubt or in those trying times when our personal truths are challenged.
