10.
Ten days left of ministry!
Ten days until debrief.
16 days until I land in San Francisco!
Its strange to think that this thing called the World Race is almost over. Back in Africa one of the Adopt-a-Square box prizes was blogging for 10 days straight, so brace yourselves! I will be telling stories about this month and many of the months from my race, some dating as far back as South America! If you have specific questions or want to hear more about a particular ministry let me know!
Malaysia Ministry:
Things here have been going really well! On the bus into Malaysia I was talking with a squad mate about my hopes for the next month. (Dangerous to do on the WR when you have no idea what to expect.) I hoped to be busy with ministry but still have enough time for things like reading books before Stacy needed them back, doing devotions, going walking or doing yoga. To my surprise thats exactly what we got!
In the mornings 3 of us visit a school while 3 catch up on sleep or devotions or personal time. At night we do home visits and share a word, worship and pray. Some evenings there is a church service that we attend and have slowly begun participating in. The first week we were here we had an all day worship and prayer service at another church here in Malaysia. We were able to participate in worship in its many forms. It was beautiful to see dance, tamborines, music and singing as a collective act of worship to the Lord. We also went to a healing rally held about an hour away. It was a powerful demonstration of praise and the sharing of the gospel, the good news.
Today at school we played musical chairs, danced to cotton eyed joe and even a little chacha (my favorite!!) for aerobics before heading to our respective classrooms. I played word games with the kids where they had to guess letters to make words. The kids are so sweet and fun. Being there is always uplifting and the teachers are so patient and joyful as well.
There is much more to come in the next 10 days so stay tuned! I look forward to seeing you all soon!
Blessings,
Danielle
