When I was younger around middle school age, I was someone that was feeling a lot of hurt and I was extremely sarcastic because I truly didn’t know how God could help me. In fact, there were many times when I would yell at my friends for no reason and just not feel like I deserved God. That was a time when I felt alone and needed the Father God’s guidance to help me out with that. One example of those times was when I was on Twitter and I sent a bad message to my friend. She got mad at me for it and it led to a lot of sadness and loss of hope for me. However, even though I did that, she forgave me. I’ll give you another example of that and how God redeemed it.

I’ll begin by saying that there was a camp that I had the opportunity to go to with a couple of friends that I knew would be helpful for my future in what He has for me. So I arrived to the camp in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I started thinking “Wow I’m so good at sarcasm, I’m almost fluent in it and it’s my second language.” Then the next day after I arrived, we made our way to a place where we were supposed to eat breakfast. As I came in, I noticed that we were supposed to sit at our tables, which had a blue, red, green, or yellow tape on it. So as I’m walking to mine, one of my friends said, “Daniel where do I sit?” and so I said “You sit where your colored tape is.” Then I got in trouble for that and I realized that if I wasn’t sarcastic, I wouldn’t have almost been kicked out of the camp. Now I will tell you what happened because of this experience.

So after a lot of chats with different people about my attitude towards my friend, they eventually invited me to stay a couple more weeks at the camp. I found that it was the first time that I had a chance to limit my negative attitude towards different things and it was such a great feeling.

I then found a church youth group and really connected with everyone there. They were such a blessing to me because they taught me about how I needed Jesus to be fully in my life and it was an amazing experience growing with a group of people who loved God. They also taught me to live a life style with Him and to this day I treasure all of them. My youth pastor also baptized me at that church one day and I felt like my past was redeemed. It allowed me to put all of the sins of the past to God so that I could just growing closer into a quality relationship with God.

In fact, it has now allowed me to travel the world with an amazing team of people living how Jesus did and I’m excited to spend time with all of them. I’m excited to be able to spread Jesus and allow other people to see all of the ways God can redeem them from a broken feeling to one of joy and peace. I believe God is going to use this to help some you see all of the things I overcame and show you the different things about my life throughout my journey!

Blessings to you, Daniel
