A month ago, while I was in Minnesota finishing up my bible school with YWAM, I asked the Lord what I was to do next. As I journaled, He told me that I was “going to be a world traveler with a group of people.” That I would “walk beside God, speak to people in different locations and meet new people who will help me accomplish all the good things (God has) for me.”Within weeks of arriving back in Richmond, God has unfolded His specific plan for this next part of my journey with Him.
Starting in January, I will spend 11 months in 11 countries sharing the love of Jesus in Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, South Africa, Botswana, Bulgaria, Serbia, Spain, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. The goal of the World Race is to create radical Christ followers who will go anywhere God calls them to go.
What is really exciting about the World Race that I have chosen is that it is “unscripted.” What that means is that I will be guided by God’s Holy Spirit every step of the way. As we arrive in each country, we will pray as teams about what city we we should go to and what ministries we will partner with. I chose Unscripted because I want God to stretch me to hear His voice better and learn to trust Him more in the future.
The type of ministry we will do ranges from prison ministry, ministering in schools, prostitution ministry or evangelism. I’m excited to experience what it’s like to fully rely on God for every decision!!!

And here’s a little more about the World Race organization. Since 1983, they have partnered with 1,000 ministries in 79 nations to send more than 110,000 missionaries into some of the hardest places in the world. They have ministered to 3 billion unreached people, 18 million orphans, 4.5 million sex slaves, 9 million in prisons, and 795 million who are undernourished.
I’m excited to do my part in serving people around the world knowing that it will stretch and grow me for my future ministry calling.

It’s an enormous amount of support to raise, but God has always been so faithful to provide funding for everything that He’s called me to do with YWAM this past year. I am trusting Him to take care of my every need.
