Hello Everyone, I’m 24 years old currently preparing myself to travel with Adventures in Missions for their Unscripted World Race.
I live in Richmond, Virginia and I have 3 brothers. My biological brother lives in Harrisonburg, Virginia and my two step brothers live in Beijing, China and Maui, Hawaii. Two of them have been full-time missionaries. They are all older than me and married.
I graduated from Eastern Mennonite University a year ago with a major in Sports Promotion and Recreational Leadership and minors in both Business and Youth Ministry.
I love being around all people. Going to different places to meet people all over the world will be so much fun. I know God will introduce me to new lifelong friends. I especially love children and want to work with them later on in my life every day. I also enjoy watching and play sports, especially soccer (futbol) and basketball because I have such joy doing them.
This past year, I was a part of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in the city of Detroit, Michigan for my DTS (Discipleship Training School), which was where I truly was able to give some of my past brokenness to God. I am so glad that I now don’t have to deal with fear of man or disappointing others. I learned to see God is my Father who accepts me unconditionally. It was a very impactful time in my life.
After that God called me to a three month Bible School with YWAM in the Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was intense because I had to read and study the whole Bible in three months…even reading the books of Matthew and Mark all the way through on the same day.
Now I am preparing for a time of fully trusting God with all of the things in my life. I’m excited to have the opportunity to practice fully hearing God’s voice as I travel the world with other people who are also interested in doing the unscripted version of the World Race. We will be in 11 counties in 11 months following the leading of the Lord for where we should go and what we should do each day. I’m excited because I know God is going to do some awesome things that will be life changing for me.
