I just wanted to share a story from one of my experiences in Moldova:
Friday, we went on house visits. It was me, Julie, Katie, Ana (our interpreter), and Tommy (a former WR-er). We prayed for direction and Tommy saw a blue bucket. In all my time here in Moldova, I don't think I have ever seen a blue one, just lots of red. We start up the road and I start seeing blue buckets EVERYWHERE! So, every time we see a blue bucket, we talk to everyone who is around. They are all brief conversations. We come to a sort of intersection, and are trying to decide which way to go, when a lady comes to her gate (which is in the intersection). We go over to talk to her, and she invites us inside. She has TWO blue buckets in her front yard! We go inside and she is talking 90 miles an hour about her family and Ana has trouble translating. We finally go and sit in her living room and she proceeds to feed us. I had tea and apples and candy. While talking to her, we discover that her husband beats her and her children rarely visit. Her grandchildren don't visit because they are afraid of her husband. We were able to encourage her, give her verses, invite her to church, etc. It was seriously one of the best visits I've had. Yay for blue buckets!!!
