Hello From Bangalore, India!!!
As per usual, I am going to fill you guys in on my travel days/week. Last Friday, we hopped a 13 hr overnight train from Oradea to Bucharest. We stayed one night in the same hostel we stayed in during Launch. We spent the next night (Sunday) sleeping in the Bucharest airport. We then hopped a plane to Moscow! It was only like a 2 hour flight but they fed us-Awesome! We originally had a 7 hour layover. We sat down in this one place for like 3 hours then all the sudden these people came out and started yelling at us to move so we found a new place. They finally listed our gate so we went and sat there. We loaded the plane. Taxied away from the gate, sat for 20 min, returned to the gate, lost power, regained power, got off the plane, and waited 3 more hours before we finally left (on a different plane). We arrived in New Delhi, India after a 6 hour flight. We got all our junk, used the ATM, and met our Hostel contact and traveled to the Hostel. We stayed there overnight. We went out to eat and did a little shopping. I bought an amazing purse! The next morning, we got on a 36 hour train that turned into a 41 hour train. That in and of itself was an experience! I read 6 books. My teammates made friends with several Indian guys on the train. They were a big hit. After we finally got off the train, our contact met us and we loaded up and headed to our residence this month. We arrived at around 3 am. We are sleeping on mats on the floor but I don't mind at all. I added my sleeping pad to it and it was heavenly. We slept til about 11 am and [bucket] showered and went to Lunch at 1 pm. We had Beef! I was surprised. After that we had orientation and now I am posting this blog. Jess did the math and we have been traveling for 134 hours, I think. All I have to say is wow! And that concludes this blog post.
FYI, I am 10.5 hours ahead of Central time, yes that's ten and a half, not ten. Also, look for a picture blog from Romania soon.
