Watch This Video:

Back when I was in high school our interim youth director, at the time, showed us this video to help give our youth group an idea of the persecution that overseas Christians face. It showed us that some Christians around the world struggle to even get their hands on a bible in their own language. It showed us how we are wasting our time by not spending time in the scripture that we have readily available to us.

However, the video hit me in a different way.

This video was the first thing that got me interested in mission trips. The video may seem kind of corny now, but when I watch this as a 16 year old I wanted to be these people. I wanted to be the one carrying those bibles into closed countries.

Up until Tuesday of this past week I had completely forgot about this video. I had forgot about that little feeling of excitement it gave me to want to do something bold for the Lord.

February, 5th of 2018 was my teams first day of ministry in Rwanda and our first day of door to door evangelism. After talking with many people that day our team quickly decided that we needed bibles to hand out along with our evangelism. So the next day all 8 of us pulled the little money we had together and bought about 15 bibles. As we were in the store, I proceeded to start stuffing these bibles into my backpack and all in a moment these memories from this video came rushing back in, even though Rwanda is not a persecuted country.

It was only after 7 years and 8 different countries that I felt like I was living out the passion that God had put in my heart, that passion to bring His word and His message to other countries and to all people.

God Bless you guys and thanks to everyone who got me here.
