So we have been here in Isibania Kenya for about ten days.  Today is Sunday the 19th the year 2010; we had our normal Sunday service today at Deliverance Church.  But let me start back at the beginning, we arrived last Thursday-ish and were immediately emerged in the culture.  The Bust stop wasn’t anything more than a spot in the wall in between tons of busy vendors. Here all the locals ride around on motorcycles and little white taxi cars and vans.  Team Everspring was dropped off and greeted by Pastor Abraham and his small posse.  The rest of the street seemed to flock around us, “Muzungu!!! HOW are you” Muzungu is the name giving to westerners.  After a great welcoming from random peeps we jumped in a small bus and headed to our home base.  We got about two days of rest that and some time to settle in and see the town.  Time very necessary.  Sunday was our first scheduled day of ministry if im not mistaken.  We were to lead service and give the main message. This is what the schedule usually looks like at service.

They call this Cell groups and it is awesome.  We wait at home and have Cell Leaders with code names, come and collect speakers (Ebenezer 1 Ebenezer 2 Ezra 1 Ezra 2) I am Ebenezer 2 and I was taken away to a church members house.  It was dark and cold felt kinda like an underground church.  So we gathered and shared fellowship, my topic was Joseph the Dreamer.

I gave the main message as I was instructed to by the big man upstairs, the topic on Treasure: Earthly and Heavenly. If you missed it find it on Itunes….lol.  I think it went well and it was a good word.  The word is still being perfected and I would like to say I hear a little Todd Wagner in it.  Umm So one subject that I did want to talk about was the worship; oh boy do the people in Kenya know how to worship.  All they have is one piano and three speakers and they rock’d that joint like the cows were coming home.  As a matter of fact I think they did.   Last time I was jumping like that I was at an August Burns Red Concert, although I wasn’t punched in the face like at the concert the hype was there.  The energy of these peeps waz legit and they just wanted to praise the lord with everything they had. Im talking about Grandmas in the back was droppin it like it was hot (for the lord).  Also for some reason every one up in that spot can sing, the ones that can’t sing were up on stage giving it their all and even they sounded great.  Ummm and I don’t know if they practiced before service and I miss that meeting but they all know the same dance moves.  I’m pretty sure we can shoot a sweet music video and air it on some Christian music channel.  My heart is Happy when I am with these folks before God.  The joy they share in worship is something I hope stays with me thru out my travels.
So since last Sunday we have been venturing off walking and driving on the streets and dirt roads and fields going to schools and sharing faith.  The kids are super awesome and open.  We have shared with all ages, the young ones are a bit of a challenge for me but its something my fellow brothers and sisters in the field are helping me with.  I can relate with the older kids of Christ, it is impactful to just hear their struggles.  Youth and adults told us it’s great that Muzungus are here sharing the word.  One of the perspectives they have about America is we don’t have troubles or challenges.  They know God and love to praise to him, but I think we bring something that adds to the flavor.  We share testimonies and stories that convey the greatness that God can offer.  Like I explained to one group of kids, there is so much more to having a relationship with God.  And I used the example of me and my brother and a game that we used to play.  SSX a PS2 snowboarding game.  We started the game and we sucked.  We sucked to the point that we didn’t even want to play the damn game. But we kept at it, turn after turn we played and got better.  Then we started to try and beat each others high score.  This went on for a good while till we maxed out our skills and couldn’t go any higher.  Since Mario my brother isn’t here writing this Blog im gonna say that I won that competition, sorry bro, get your own Blog.  But we went to a friend’s house out in Denton and he played SSX as well.  So we played with him and from the start of the race we new our minds were about to be bloweded awayeded.  He hadn’t even left the start line and was racking up points.  He leaped from the start line with a back flip 720 twist nose grab invert to switch manual and continued down the slopes tearin up the track.  Dude was grinding the freekin trees for crying out loud, he would max out the turbo and get super tricky’s with single bounds.  And if that wasn’t enough he would super mega combo breaker into secret shortcuts. SECRET SHORTCUTS!!! Needless to say he smashed out poor little scores.  After this Mario and I were on another level, we had only seen the foot of the mountain and were now exposed to the limitless possibilities.  We went home and began wrecking shop with our new knowledge of SSX.  And the point to the kids is we can know something as awesome as God but we may not always know all of him.  There is so much more when we dig into knowing more about him, and the connection with him can have us breaking records and hitting new levels of greatness.  Sometimes we just have to be shown there is more, our testimonies are just that.  Stories that show God doing above and beyond things in out lives every time.

So I have been able to share one big message and a smaller but equally good word.  I was asked to speak to a youth rally about Using Your Time Wisely.  This went off with a hitch I will probably write another Blog about that.  But my partner in crime was Angela and we together shared some great truth.  Her speech was on using the Talents that God has used us.  Doesn’t that just go well together, if you learn to use your times wisely with biblical truths your talents have nothing but the best surroundings to grow.  Sweet so I am super stoked that I get to share with Urrbody what is going on, I can honestly say that there is a lot going on and I think I will be better about making sure things get blogged about.  So with much love Dmoney has to sign out, continue to read the blogs The Lort is doin it big in Africa and we be keeping it Rizzle for the main Nizzle.  Keep us in your Prizzles till next Tizzle.  God Bless
