I am very excited as I update my supporters and sponsors on my journey to go on the World Race. I have selected my new route and my expected launch date is September 2014. Before I go over the new list of countries I would first like to update you all on the my journey so far.

This time last year was an exciting time for me. I got a new job which I loved and found out about the World Race on that job through a young man named Anderson, from Kenya. Not only did I find out about the World Race, I also served the man who started the World Race, Serh Barnes at my place of employment. Seth happened to be flying through Hartsfield-jackson Airport in Atlanta, GA and he sat in my section. I had never seen him before but I had made it a habit to discuss my mission trip with the guest I served if the opportunity presented itself. When I began to talk to Seth and his guest about the World Race they started to laugh, I was taken back. After a brief chuckle Seth’s guest informed me that I was talking to the man who started the race. I was shocked, to say the least!!! Here I was face to face with the man who started this mission trip. We prayed and talked about the trip and Seth was confident that I would make the September 2013 trip. Unfortunately I didn’t meet the financial deadlines. I would be lying if I didn’t say I was discouraged. After God had brought me before a great man, and filled me with confidence, the devil got to work. Not only did I miss the Septemeber 2013 route, I was hit in a car accident totally my car putting me out of work for two weeks, I also eventually lost that job that I loved. I was never once mad at God but the set backs made it hard for me to continue with my efforts to fundraise for the World Race. It took me a while to build up my stregthn again. In November 2013 I made a decision that had many people wondering if I was crazy, I moved back to the DC area where my family is from in an attempt to save money to make the next World Race route. I left behind a church family in Atlanta that I loved, a group of people who supported my efforts to go on the World Race, a church where things are done differently, called Impact. It was a hard decision but in order to climb mountains you must sometimes do things you don’t want to, like leaving friends in the foothills to watch you climb.

This brings me to the present. With my new route I am confident that I will raise the funds necessary to embark on this grand journey. So far I have raised just under 1400.00 dollars for the World Race, to which I have contributed 150 dollars. By moving home I have placed myself in a situation to pay for more of the trip on my own. I have committed to paying 100 dollars a month. This money alone won’t satisfy my financial obligation.  The total cost of the trip is 15,500.00 dollars. There are a couple of deadlines I must reach. I must have 3,500 on my account by June 29, 2014 and 6,000 before August 2014. The full cost of the trip does not have to be paid until my tenth month on the race.

On the World Race I will travel to four continents, Asia, Africa, Europe and South America. The list of countries I will vist are:

Thailand

Cambodia
Vietnam
Botswana
Swaziland
South Africa
Turkey
Albania
Honduras
Nicaragua
Costa Rica

Please continue to follow as I update you all on this amazing journey!!!
