Hi friends,

I’m currently in Pokhara, Nepal for the month of November. We left sielmat, India on November 4th and stayed in Kathmandu, Nepal for a few days on a debrief.

I’m excited to see what we’ll accomplish in Pokhara, but saying goodbyes to those in Sielmat was not easy. I really enjoyed the friendship of our helpful liaisons and locals.

One of the cooks had a son named Jeremy, who took a particular liking to hanging out with me. Under usual circumstances, I would not consider hanging out with some kid to be an enjoyable experience; however, Jeremy was different. He is a rascal, but he really does care about people. Jeremy didn’t try to seem better than he really was – he was a genuine kid. That speaks volumes of someone so young (~12 years old).

To cap it off, he’s just a silly, funny guy who makes you laugh. I had some of my best days hanging out with him. I hope to sponsor him soon to make his expenses associated with his education more feasible.

In Pokhara, we are staying at a Yak Ranch Resort that is under construction. We will mainly be painting, moving rocks and dirt, and clearing the surrounding land so the resort can be completed as soon as possible. Once the resort is open, our ministry host Oyvind, plans on using 75% of the funds to go to ministering to the surrounding villages. He also wants to create an internship program for missionaries to teach them effective methods for sharing the gospel with people from predominantly Hindu villages.

The view from the resort is incredible. Machhapuchchhre is right in front with Annapurna to the left. I really am in the midst of a Bob Ross painting. This resort has great potential to be a tool to reach those who have never heard the Good News.

In other news, I’m still fundraising, so any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for tuning in to my adventure and as always – stay classy.
