Sorry for the lack of blogs posted this
last month. In most of Africa the internet is rare or very weak so
it takes longer to get things done. It doesn’t help when you spend
the month on top of a mountain that takes 30 minutes to get down from
by car and another our to the closet town with internet, if it is
working that day. As they say here “T.I.A., This is Africa.”
For those of you who do not know where
Swaziland is, like myself before the Race, it is a small kingdom
located between South Africa and Mozambique. It only takes about 3
hours to drive across the country. Going there I only knew of the
troubles of the country. A corrupt king only caring about himself
and the government that is set up is doing nothing for the people who
are in grave need of help. HIV and AIDS are overtaking this land.
It is estimated that by 2050 Swaziland will be no more do to these
viruses. One of the other team’s contact here in Swaziland suffered
the death of his sister this past month due to AIDS. He took no time
off to mourn her death but continued with the ministry. It is so
common here that the people have had to hardened their hearts to
survive. Luckily my team was blessed with an amazing ministry were
we could see life and a future hope for Swaziland.

at El Shaddai Children’s Home. This was a home for over 80
infants to 18 year olds who had lost their families one way or
another. It was started by a couple from South Africa a few years
ago and has been blessed by God ever since. They receive no
government aid only phone calls asking if they have any more room for
children. Everything they receive is a true blessing from God. The
children there are happy, well fed,and provided shelter and educations.
Some of the older ones who had been with El Shaddai from the
beginning have moved on to colleges and trade schools to provide for
themselves. It is an amazing blessing and calling that God has put
on this couple and it is clear that they are in His favor.

place that is expect to be no more in 40 years, I thought the
country would look to be a barren wasteland. To my surprise I found
beautiful mountains and green valleys surrounding me. The landscape
was breathtaking. Every morning I was able to watch the sunrise over
the mountains and every night see it set upon more mountains to
reveal millions of stars on clear nights. Our teams would hangout on
a huge boulder outside our rooms that looked down into the valley at
a wonderful waterfall. This month was truly a blessing to me.
