So it turns out that Australia is
really expensive. Their dollar is just under ours but their prices
in Darwin are twice as much as in the States. So living on $3 a day
for all 3 meals can be a challenge. But God has been providing for
us. (This month is also Man Month or Man-istry (so you have all 11
guys on the Squad together for the whole month.)

The first few days were hard when we
went to the store for the first time to find out we couldn’t afford
much of anything. Soon after the blessings started. Our contacts,
David and Isabelle, receive donated food all the time and offered it to
us. They also took us to a food bank and we were able to get great
deals on bulk items for the month. Isabelle even took us to a bread
and pastry shop where she goes every Saturday night after closing to
collect all the items they would throw away. She gives the food to
the community that she has been working with for the past ten years
but has allowed us to have a few goodies first. She has also blessed
us with little goodies throughout the week and a  birthday cake for one
of the guys. Last night she came home with a ton of frozen fish for us.
It is like we are staying with our Grandparents. They are some of
the nicest people I have ever met and are willing to do just about
anything for anyone and they do it all the time. It is a bit
overwhelming at times.

Even some of the girls of our Squad are
taking care of us. Their location has a ton of extra food so they
have donated some of their rations to us. They even baked us a
mountain of cupcakes.

At the beginning of the month we were
not sure what we were going to do about food. Now we are wondering
what we are going to do with all the extras.

Sorry there are no pictures. My
waterproof camera broke jumping into waterfalls.
