Okay so if you never saw the old Batman
TV show from the 60s you probably won’t catch on to the bad
one-liners that Robin always said to Batman. This blog has nothing
to do with Batman, (Sorry if you thought it did but keep reading it
is still really cool I promise.) So today we drove out to one of the
local villages for the first time since we have been in India. We
were going to be going door to door praying for the people of the
village along with putting on a children program.

The village had a local church that
made an announce that we were in the village to pray for them over a
sound system. We found out the the village was about 2,000 people
and only 30-50 go to church. The rest are practicing Hindus which
was made clear to us by the brunt ashes in front of most of the home
leftover from the morning celebration of one of their festivals.
(When I woke up at 6am for my quite time the whole city was cover
with smoke because of this festival. It was a nightmare of burning
eyes and burning garbage.) Our team broke into two groups and headed
off with our translator. We prayed over Christians and Hindus alike.
The people there were unbelievable. They all just wanted to be
blessed. All of the people had a deep desire for us to pray for them
with a faith to believe in what we were saying even if they could not
understand the words coming out of our mouths.

all sorts of things. That people would find job. That women would
find husbands. That children would be blessed. It was a little
overwhelming at times. We walked up to one woman standing next to
her water buffalo and asked us to pray for the animal that the fear
would leave it. I was all for it. My thought was this animal
provided her income most likely so I was kinda surprise no one else
asked us to pray for they livestock. My group stretched out our
hands toward the buffalo and began to pray. We finished praying and
thanked the woman and went on to the next house. We had lunch at the
pastor’s house and on the way back to the church we past by the same
water buffalo except this time their was a baby next to it. While we
were eating, the buffalo had given birth. It was not the way I
thought our prayers would be answered since I had no clue the buffalo
was pregnant in the first place but that woman who asked us to pray
for her animal was grateful for it. God continues to show me that He
works in mysterious ways and it is awesome to see His mysteries
unfold.
