So every Christmas Eve my family gets together for a Cuban pig roast. (No, I am not Cuban. That is another story.) We use to get the pig alive and do everything from start to finish. Over the years we have made it easier on ourselves but getting all of the dirty work done before so we can just spend the night before preparing it and then Christmas Eve cooking it all day long. We slow cook it in a pit for 7-8 hours, flipping it once some where in the middle of that time. It is an awesome experiences and one of the best meals I have ever had.
The Cuban Way…
(Fresh off the grill)
I know that there are different ways and styles of cooking a full pig but I never thought I would see anything like this before.
The Moldovan way…
Who would of thought to use a flamethrower to cook a pig. We stopped to talk to these guys for a few minutes and I was just amazed at what I saw. I am not sure how well this works but I guess it is good enough for them.
