So I was thinking back over the past 11
months to all of the new experiences (besides going to 11 new
countries with 40 strangers and meeting some of the most amazing God
seeking people of my life) and decided to make a list. I am going to
try and go in order.

India

  • Was able to pour out the love of
    Christ onto special needs children

  • Rode a camel

  • Ate crazy street food

  • Drank the water

  • Rode the Ferris wheel of death

  • Shared the Gospel with villages
    that had never heard the Word of God before

  • Prayed over people for healing and
    watch miracles happen

  • Prayed over water buffalo then
    have it give birth 30 minutes later

  • Dropped off in a town in the
    middle of no where at 3 am in the morning to have 3 Indians claiming
    to be your contacts pile you in a SUV with a teammate on your lap
    for a 2 hour drive over rough terrain only to pull up to a storage
    shed that will be your home for the next two weeks

  • Hanging out on rooftops looking at
    thousand of stars

  • Ate a crazy amount of ice cream
    and cakes

  • Arrived at the wrong train station
    with barely enough time to make it to the correct one

Nepal

  • Awesome time hanging out in
    Katmandu

  • Drove a moped for the first time
    up the mountain side to see the Himalayas and almost died a few
    times along the way with Noe, Hollis and Melanee

  • Hiking mountains to visit homes
    and share the love of Jesus

  • Took a bus to the Tibet border
    only to be able to set my foot across it

  • Got on the wrong bus by myself
    which took me up to some village where I found a place to stay for
    50 cents only to wake up to glorious snow covered mountain tops

  • Threw up from a second story
    window (Not all of these were going to be fun)

  • Drank warm goat/yak milk after
    hiking up the mountain (Might have been why I threw up)

Romania

  • Went snow skiing with the guys

  • Saw real snow fall

  • Went to Dracula’s Castle

  • Hung out with Gypsies

  • Dressed up as a biker

  • Got a root canal

Moldova

  • Saw crazy people dressed up as
    superhero, soldiers, fisherman, dancers and a dog at the mall

  • Went door to door in the snow,
    mud, cold, hail and rain telling people about Christ

  • Took a bite of cold chicken
    sitting in a bowl of fat

  • Slept with 5 blankets to stay warm

  • Experienced the nastiest outhouse
    know to man (It was full and had to be dug out twice will we were
    there)

  • Saw a whole pig get cooked by a
    flame thrower

  • Was told that our group was too
    joyful and needed to smile less

  • Had the best Easter of my life

  • Enjoyed wonderful dinner parties
    and picnics with some amazing people the last few days

  • Got bedbugs from the train ride

Swaziland

  • Lived on top of a mountain for a
    month

  • Got to play with the cutest kids
    every

  • Picked maze

  • I made French Toast for the first
    time

  • Heard little girls put Sister Act
    to shame

  • Hiked to an incredible waterfall
    that felt wonderful to swim in

  • Witness the most breathtaking
    sunrises and sunset

  • Spent many nights looking up at
    the countless stars

Mozambique

  • Jumped in a car with 3 other Squad
    mates and a shady guy we just met that drove us to look for an ATM
    in a car that smelled like death (God protects fools)

  • 50 something hours of a nightmare
    called a bus ride to ministry site

  • Covered in shattered glass from
    broke window of the nightmare know as a bus ride

  • Introduced to the music of Lucky
    Dubie

  • Spent the month on one of the most
    beautiful beaches I have ever seen

  • Sanded poles all month long

  • Found out I am highly allergic to
    Mozambique cashew nut oil

  • Had a great time having church by
    the beach

  • Went snorkeling

South Africa

  • Got to help lead VBS

  • Played with lions

  • Swam with Great White sharks

  • Had a great time with out Real
    Lifer

  • Left my debt card behind

  • Saw the new Harry Potter two days
    before it released in the States

 

Thailand

  • Got to see how 80 girls can be one
    family

  • Mowed acres with a push mower

  • Felt like I was home in Florida
    again thanks to the weather

  • Was hugged by a tiger

  • Had all you can eat sushi

  • Spend a month with WR alumina

  • Rode on an elephant

  • Got to see Thai dances and light a
    giant lantern that flies away

 

Cambodia

  • Was blessed to stay in an awesome
    hotel with a pool

  • Saw Angkor Wat Temple

  • Stayed in an hourly rate motel for
    the month

  • Taught English

  • Got beat down in Wii boxing by a
    Cambodia kid

  • Raced around the zoo with two
    trucks full of students

  • Have my own ice cream vender
    follow our group around the zoo all day

Australia

  • Was given a brand new pillow and
    sheets by our contact Isobel (This is a big deal month 10)

  • Able to raid a bakery of all of
    their leftovers

  • Hangout with Aboriginals

  • Saw some crazy awesome waterfalls

  • Had a blast hanging out with my 10
    brothers

  • Saving up for three days to but a
    meal at McDonald’s

  • Setting off 10 bug bombs in a tiny
    house. (Might have been a little overkill but we are men and it got
    the job done)

Malaysia

  • Got to take a ferry ride at 3am in
    the morning

  • Spent a month of ministry guarding
    a bathroom

  • Made calendars with amazing
    special needs people

  • Helped an old man I have never
    seen before cross the street when he grabbed my arm and motioned to
    where he wanted to go.

  • Took a 3 hour tour of Penang by
    getting on the wrong bus again.

  • Hung out with strangers on a bar
    top roof talking about all manners of life until 2-3am

  • Said good-bye to once strangers
    that had become my family over the past 11 months
