I just had the amazing opportunity to get to know the E squad at training camp, possibly one of the greatest groups of people you'd ever want to meet and it almost goes without saying that Eleanor led the E squad to being the greatest squad at training. Training was an amazing time where we had the opportunity to actually prepare for what may occur on the field by going through the scenarios, from changing sleeping quarters from individual tents, to sleeping on a bus, to sleeping under a tarp. Our cuisine each day consisted of portion size we are likely to receive and actual foods from the regions to be visited, from rice and beans to fish soup to curry.
At one point during training, I found myself thinking, there is nowhere that I would rather be than traveling the world with this amazing team. Then I quickly caught myself and realized, the one place I desire most to be is in the will of God.
After asking some key support people in my life to pray for God's direction, devoting myself to prayer, and talking with the leadership of the World Race, I have realized that God's plan for me may not be the World Race at this time and I will now be pursuing other opportunities to love God, love people, and bring the two together.
Thank you for your prayers this far, and please continue to lift me up in prayer for the upcoming decisions as to what would be the best fit to serve the Lord and where He can use me best to advance His kingdom.
