A God who is always present.
A God who speaks to us.
A God who is faithful.

A God who adores us more than we can comprehend.
A God who wants us to love Him most.
A God who wants to be in every part of our life.

A God who is powerful and mighty to save.
A God deserving of all the glory and honour.

That is the God I serve.

And He is working and moving in India. Healing and restoring and refreshing. Preparing and working in the lives of those who are willing to seek after Him wholeheartedly. As we travel and Burn we have seen the movement of the Holy Spirit in this country.

Mumbai is a city of colour and activity as well as oppression and bondage. Here we saw God use our worship to break the chains and strongholds over the area – providing freedom for His children. The people began to sing out their new songs to the Lord in true praise and adoration.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.               Psalms 40:3

The city of Kolkata is named after a god that embodies death and destruction – we could see the effects on the region. There are many idols that have captured the attention of too many people and have led them astray. We also found a big sense of apathy resting over the city. As we worshipped God began to break that spirit of indifference in the pastors and leaders, giving them a new revival and passion for His name. God is also going to bring revelation of His love, purity and new hope to the women in the human trafficking area of Kolkata.

In Jaipur we felt the strong sense of pride in the way people worshipped. Much of it was performance-oriented rather than an act of glory and honour to the Lord. It was all about sounding good, looking professional and staying dignified. Who really wants to be dignified in the presence of the Lord anyways?

Additionally, the Hindu and Muslim roots have grown deep over history and only 0.25% of the population of Jaipur are Christians. God is tearing out the strong roots and replacing them with a new foundation based in His love. He is blanketing the city with His presence and bringing change among the people.

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them. I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. They will be my people and I will be their God.
                                                                                              Ezekiel 11:19-20

During our Independence Day Burn here in Udaipur we could see that there was a huge emphasis on performance and crowd pleasing when it comes to worship. But, by the end of the night God was already breaking through expectations. We will see beautiful things coming out of the ashes in the city. Churches and families will find healing and unity and the youth with rise up to bring about change in Udaipur.

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honour.                                          1 Samuel 2:8

God is raising up an army of true worshippers from many cities in this country so that His kingdom will be brought to earth. His will shall be done here in India.
