The crevices of brokenness is where God meets us…between the shattered pieces is where the heart of Christ’s beats; amplified by our own inability to put the pieces back together again. His heart gently sets the pace of each beat until ours follows along in complete surrender – allowing Him to work in our hearts until they are wholly His.
This month, God has revealed his heart for India in the skeptical gaze of a Hindu man, in the dysfunctional limbs of a father that once walked, in the ease of a child’s innocent smile, in the cries of a boys hungry tummy…His heart beats with them and for them. Sounding out the word “Love” as they sync beats, crying “Dance to the beat of MY HEART, child.”
Last night, we had the opportunity to speak life into a family that had recently given their lives to Christ!
Jesus ROCKS!
As we sat down in their home, they welcomed us with huge smiles, excited eyes and refreshments…the generosity of families here never ceases to amaze me – they don’t have much, but happily give what they can.
Their hearts are beautiful
The brothers explained to us that the father had been seriously injured from a 5-story fall. He was told he would never walk again.
A broken man.
The brothers had been praying for him and over him, encouraging him with Spoken Words and visions multiple times. From their persistent prayers and encouragement, God did some awesome healing within this man – spiritually and physically.
Praise God!
You see, before, this man was bound to his bed. He could not sit up in a chair or get off his bed – he had no strength to do so. When we had arrived, obvious progress had been made – he was sitting in a wheelchair with a slight smile on his face…joy in his eyes. God was working on his heart through some serious healing!
The crevices of his heart were being filled – the brokenness was being bound in Christ’s love.
We shared the verse from 2 Corinthians 12:9 that says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made PERFECT in your weakness.” We explained to him that God’s power can work through his weakness to strengthen his faith – to reveal His power to the world.
At that time, we all gathered around him – laying hands on him and his family – praying over them – singing praises to our God in Heaven….asking Him to move in this man. Asking Him to restore his health.
All hearts beating to the drum of Christ’s…fervently praying to our Creator and Perfect Healer.
And then the impossible happened! He rose and walked!
Just as Christ called the man beside the pool to rise, pick up his mat, and walk in John 5, so He did with this man!! Nothing is impossible with God – His Power was truly made known through this mans weakness…perfect strength…all hearts stopped in awe of His power and love for this child.
Christ had just reset the beat.
Now all hearts beat to His drum – fully surrendered – wholly His.
In that moment, shouts of joy erupted into the room – all of us celebrating Gods powerful healing work!
All dancing to the beat of Christ’s heart.
He was no longer a broken man – he was fully restored.
