I am on the daily journey of learning to love well by seeking to live simply and intentionally by His grace and guidance.
I eat a lot of tamales, make a lot of mistakes, and can’t imagine life without my dear family. My sisters are my two best friends. I love learning about people and hearing their stories. I love being outside in God’s creation and can guarantee a weekly visit to the nearest large body of water. Also, CHRISTMAS. I love everything about Christmas from giant inflatable snowmen to the beautiful truth of our Lord and Savior’s birth. I’m a big picture thinker. I love hearing people’s ideas and being a part of the in between process to see them become a reality. I believe in people and in the highs and lows of dailiness. I am constantly challenged as I learn more about the Lord and His heart for people and the world.
I’ve fallen in love with the Spanish speaking world — the people, the culture, the language. The Lord has placed a deep passion in my heart for what it looks like to live life alongside Spanish speaking people in a variety of contexts. For the record, I am still working on my empanada making skills, but I can make a top notch tortilla. Shout out to Sandra and Vivi for being the best teachers! 🙂
I can’t wait to see and be a part of what the Lord is already doing in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. I believe this opportunity to serve in these 11 countries for 11 months (starting in January 2015) is the next piece of how the Lord is shaping and growing me for His kingdom work.
A THANK YOU.
I am so humbled that you would choose to invest in this journey with me. The Lord has recently been drawing me out of my desire to be independent and not need people. He’s shown me that I very much need people around me who believe in what the Lord is doing in my life. I just want to say I do need you, and I’m so thankful for your prayers, support, and encouragement in this crazy adventure. I deeply appreciate the part you play in my life and in the greater scheme of God’s Kingdom work.
