TWR 1.12: chiang mai grand canyon cliff jumping

TWR 1.13: snapshots of ministry

TWR 1.14: a few extra tastes of thailand

TWR 1.15: i left my appendix in chiang mai, thailand

[My episode featuring my appendectomy was released out of order, so it’s back in here and relabeled appropriately with the numbering system- just to clarify why it’s here again.]

Thank you again for your patience as I catch up to my blog updates with the YouTube posts. With such limited wifi, following the surgery and long travel, it’s been chaotic and VERY much a practice in building patience as I collaborate with the available internet connections…. ;0)

a lot of my fusion family seeks the thrills and adventures. i, on the other hand, have an appreciation of a more reserved sense of adrenaline rush. ;0)

*episode dedicated to the rauwerda family- my one and only friend from high school, kelly, and her husband, jon, and their daughter, avery. kelly’s family is like family to me and i am so blessed to have shared so many significant life moments with her and her extended family [the van kampens]!

i only had a few opportunities to participate in ministry this month, since much of our time in thailand was in training- and, for me, in a hospital. here are a few glances into our opportunities to share kindness and light with the people of thailand!

*episode dedicated to my GODmother, aunt elsa, who glows with a joy of love for people and the LORD. we share a love for dance, thrift shopping, and meeting new people. love you, aunt elsa!

a mini collection of adventures centered around trying new dishes and drinks in chiang mai!

*episode dedicated to my friend and former colleague, tanvi patel! we sailed together as as faculty/staff on a semester at sea voyage in fall 2014. she is the type of friend who is intentional about connecting and remaining connected through long distance. a kind, compassionate, gentle heart. i’m grateful for her friendship. love you, tanvi! :0)

the world race is full of first-time experiences- like one’s first surgery! i went to chiangmai ram hospital for stomach pains, which ended up being appendicitis and resulted in an emergency appendectomy.
…a wild adventure and testimony of GOD’s provision and care!

*episode dedicated to EVERY ONE OF YOU OUT THERE who have been a part of this journey with me. i’ve been cared for and loved so well throughout this experience. my teammates have been so nurturing, my squad leaders and fusion family visited me in the hospital, prayed for me, helped me through recovery… my family at home has been so present and invested, despite being half of a world away. i’ve received an outpour of prayer and love from LiTERALLY across the world- from family, friends, former colleagues, former students; people who know me well, people who have never met me. i am so, so grateful for the overflow of love from all of you and thank you for lifting me up during an experience that was difficult and frightening. GOD has certainly blessed me with an incredible global community of support. SO MUCH LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!
