SCM 1.11: tea with raju

raju is a new friend i met while wandering through his retail shop. we ended up chatting over tea and I promised him that the next tea visit would be my treat. so, i made a return to his business for two rounds of masala tea and rich conversations about family, local celebrations, traditions, and religion!

all of my essies – s squad – have left for a nine-day ministry trek through the villages of nepal in the jungles and mountains… all where internet is not accessible. therefore, i have taken on the project of posting the two blog drafts for each of the 51 of them! lots of editing, uploading, transferring, downloading, posting, sharing, tracking…
SCM 1.13: the garden of dreams with prabin

i met my new friend, prabin, during a study hall at a local coffee shop. his friendly nature and approachable spirit struck up conversation with me and we ended up exchanging contact information after he treated me to tea. he owns his own travel agency and offered to meet up with me again during a work break while i was in thamel. so, this time i treated him to tea. but first, he took me to the garden of dreams to explore and wonder throughout a beautiful retreat in the middle of the kathmandu chaos!

SCM 1.15: leaving nepal

it’s time to move on from nepal and head to vietnam! the first leg of our journey is getting ourselves to the airport. my squad was only 24 people, so it was an absolute adventure to experience travel day with over 50!
SCM 1.16: malaysia layover

fourth time’s the charm and i FiNALLY got to see more than the airport interior while traveling through malaysia! we had an over night layover, so we headed into the city to meet up with lo’s squad bro, carlos, and allow him to show off the city he currently calls home. Shawarma street food, petronus twin towers, and the night scenes of kuala lumpur.
