Saved to Serve
This happened about 2 months ago but I felt to share this as i believe God saved me to serve!
I was running around the house trying to get ready for work, as usual I was running very late and trying to make my lunch while do my hair and find my ear phones! I always need my ear phones- its the time I blast my praise music and pray on the way to work. I couldnt find them anywhere I was getting frustrated and becoming more and more late the more I looked, so I decided I had to go without the music 🙁
I started to walk and I had to cross the road to go up to the shops to lift cash at the bank machine. I was walking towards the edge of the corner ( it has a huge hedge and you cant see round the corner)when I heard this loud noise of screetching metal and I stopped in wonder of what it was – right before my eyes a car came careering out infront of me and went flying across the middle of the road and crashed straight into the post box! I went to see if anyone was there but there was no driver it had turned out the guy had left his hand break off. So this car was inches away from me and If I had walked out I would have been hit .(who knows what the damage could have been!)
When I got into work and sat down I felt huge relief that I was ok and still in disbelief of this car rolling out and nearly hitting me, and then at the corner of my eye I saw my ear phones. I couldnt believe it! I realised that if I had had my ear phones in with the music blasting away as usual, then I would never have been alerted with the screetching sound and I would never have stopped- I would have walked straight out into the corner and I would have been hit.
I looked at the earphones and said " thank you lord for saving me!" I realised that he was the one that made me forget the ear phones the night before so I wouldnt have them the next morning to find! He was looking out for me the night before! He had it all prepared so that I wouldnt be hurt!
There is so many situations like this that we will never even know about, God has his hand on us everyday and is probably saving us constantly without us even knowing. On this occasion I saw Him saving me right before my eyes!
I realised that I was saved to serve! I was not saved to go back to normal living! I have been called to serve and go for Him! I cant waste another minute!
When my mum heard this she said " I guess you have to go on the world race" – LOL 🙂
