My friend Robin!

This is not a blog about me but a reminder for you all to be in prayer for my friend Robin.
When many of us from D squad have made it home to the joys of christmas, warmth, family and safety my friend Robin is riding on a bus to Isibania, Kenya.
Me and Robin spent 2 months in Kenya together in a town called Isibania. One of the things that came up for us was the horrifiing fact that FGM was being practiced in Isibania. This takes place in December.
FGM -A.K.A female circumcision- is a cruel and often fatal practice that happens to girls as young as 10 in Isibania. Most of these girls are forced by family members to have this done.Tradition is that if girls are not circumcised then they will never be real women and no man will marry her.
When we were in Kenya we met Madam Bonnie who is head mistress of a school. She has decided to do something about it. She opens her school up as a rescue house for girls in the month of December.
They can go here for safety.
This is an awful reality that is going on as I type this.
But the Lord is working there. My friend Robin is on her way there as I write.
Words can not express how proud I am of her. Her heart is huge and has been broken for these girls. Robin has been obedient to the call of the lord and gave herself up when she could be back home with friends and family she has went back to Kenya to help in the safe house.
I am writing this to ask that you take a few minutes of the day to pray for the girls in Isibania, for Robin to be a light to the girls and to being the love of Christ for them, for Madam Bonnie to give her strength and guidance and for finances for the girls rescue home.
We think we can't do a thing but let me tell you that PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING! Your prayers are worth more than anything. So this December pray for the broken girls in Kenya.
Thank you so much! Merry Christmas 🙂
love Dani
P.s – If anyone wants to know more you will find blogs from me and Robin Quinn Brooks about FGM. Also check out Robin's blog because I believe details of her time away will be coming soon.
