Florida :)

Florida!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know about the amazing things i have done in florida!! For anyone that doesn’t know I got the chance to come to florida a few  days early and meet up with some squad mates before launch!!  Nathan one of the guys from our squad kindly invited us to his home to spend 3 days with him and his family- this was an awesome chance to see florida and spend some time with some team mates before leaving for the race. At first i didnt think i was going to be able to financially do this but God blessed me abundantly and made it happen :) 
Coming to florida has been an awesome blessing it has been a chance to relax and see the sights of florida never did i think i would be seeing florida as well as the other countries!! Yes i am blessed!!! Nathan’s family made our stay so amazing and welcoming – they dropped everything and made sure we had a fantastic time! Never felt so comfortable and at home in a strangers house- it was lovely and brought peace to my life before leaving for the race! 
We done so many amazing things… First day i went to universal it was fantastic- i experienced 2 different parks- islands of adventure and universal studios!!! I was overwhelmed that i got to do this and the best part is that it was all FREE!! the Hattons had a batch of free tickets and they kindly let us use them!! This was a blessing to me ( i saw the prices of this place and we wouldn’t have been able to afford something as awesome as this) i went on some amazing rides and i enjoyed every single minute of it!! Universal was great :) 
The next morning we went to Nathan’s church – it was a great service that went into the character of Jesus and the kind of guy He is. It was so relevant for what we are about to be doing! Nathans church was lovely with fantastic people in it! They all prayed over us for leaving :) 
On the way back to Nathan’s house i took in the different sights i seen around me different roads different houses everything is so different here compared to scotland!! I got excited at the fact i was just driving through florida lol.
That night we went to downtown disney walked through the shops and soaked in the beautiful weather 🙂 we ordered a huge ice cream to celebrate jen’s Birthday  we then walked along and got a wee ferry ride back to the other end of down town disney – I sat there feeling so hugely blessed to be there!!  I never ever thought i would be sitting in florida with people i hardly knew but people who were about to become the only people i knew and would spend my next year with! It was amazing 🙂 the closeness we all have is incredible!  I really do love them all 🙂 we then got the disney monorail through some of the most beautiful hotels and got off at a beach where we sat and watched Disney’s fireworks from across the loch – it was a perfect night and awesome fireworks i was in complete awww!! 
The next day we got ourselves packed up and said our goodbyes to the Hatton family! I felt really sad to be leaving 🙁 but excited to go for what lyes ahead!!
We drove down to  fort lauderdale had great talk,music and dancing on the way lol – i knew and felt that this was going to be a great year because i had a great squad!! We arrived at the hotel where a few of us would be staying until launch! This was a great night of relaxation we had a big comfy bed, a hot shower and a lovely swimming pool!! We had a wonderful time spending the rest of jen’s birthday with her and relaxing by the pool!! 
The next day we got a bus to the airport where we were finally reunited with all of our squad!! It was such an amazing feeling to see them all again!!  Excitement and joy rushed through us all!! We got our stuff together and went to launch- excited to go and see what God had for us and excited to know more about the race and what we would be doing 🙂
Its only been 4 days and i have had the best time ever :) 
I know the race is not going to be like this – certainly is not going to be like a mini holiday to florida but i know it is going to be one awesome adventure with 40 incredible people 🙂  
I am blessed for the time i had in florida and for the Hatton family welcoming me in to their home and giving me a great time :)
