I have become aware that many of you many not know what I have been up to for these past two months. I did post a blog a few weeks ago sharing a little bit about it, but I wanted to give a little more background.
So during my time on the World Race, The Lord revealed a piece of my calling to me. He placed a passion in my heart to help young adults figure out who they are in Christ and to help them walk in that freedom. However, I also knew that I was not going to end the race and immediately step into this calling, but I was supposed to enter into a time of preparation, a time of training.
That’s when I learned about Adventures in Missions apprenticeship program called Center for Global Action or CGA, from my alumni squad leader, Laura. She had finished the program right before we left for the Race. Laura had many characteristics and qualities that I knew that I wanted and needed to develop further, and she attributed much of her growth to the apprenticeship program, so I knew that I wanted to explore the program. After some research I applied to the Field Leadership track of CGA and was accepted during month 10 of my race.
I arrived here at CGA on September 12th, and it has been one amazing journey. I am surrounded by some of the most incredible men and women of God who desire to dive deeper in their walk with The Lord. The leadership here have poured into me so much, they desire to see me walk confidently in my identity and they desire to stretch us in new ways.
A typical day in The Field Leadership track of CGA looks somewhat like this: creating training manuals that will go out on the field with racers to help better equip them for leadership and ministry; taking courses on our identity/calling, and a course about the life of Jesus; then we are trained/ discipled by some of the top leaders of the organization. One of my favorite things about being here at Adventures is that everyone lives in a culture of feedback. They give each other positive and constructive feedback! They care enough about one another to be honest with themselves and others about how they are truly feeling about things and can talk through it without fear of condemnation. Everything’s is done from a place of love, because they truly do love one another!
It’s been an intense 2 months here in Gainesville, GA, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. I am being refined. Sometimes it can hurt, but the outcome is always better. I know that I am walking in my identity with more confidence that I ever have! I am so grateful for the community that surrounds me and pushes me to be better and better! I can’t wait to see what the next 2 months have in store!!

So! To stay here at CGA and to continue to learn and grow, I still need to raise funds for the rest of my semester. I need to raise $2,047! So that means I am over halfway funded! YAY! If I had just twenty people donate a one-time donation of $100 that would put me just $47 away from my final goal! You gave me such amazing support while I was on the World Race, I would love to partner with you again to complete a new work the Lord is doing in me through the Field Leadership track at CGA.
To donate, just click on the “Support Me” link on the left side of my blog page!
Love,
Dani
